In Utah, voter registration records are considered public information. A list of voters is available to the public upon request.

Protected Information

Protected information includes a voter's Social Security Number, Driver's License or State ID number, email address, full date of birth, phone number, and signature. This information may only be used by governmental entities within their official capacities.

There are three categories of privacy for voters in Utah:

Public (Default)

Voter registration records are public information by default. Information available to the public includes name, physical and mailing addresses, age range, party affiliation, and vote history. Protected information is not given out to the public.

Private

Voters may choose to make their registration private at the time of registration. Private information includes name, physical and mailing addresses, age range, party affiliation, and vote history. Such private information may be given out to political parties, candidates, their contractors, and must be used in accordance with the law. Protected information is not given to the public.

Withheld

Certain voters may be eligible to make their voter registration record withheld. Eligible persons include victims or likely victims of domestic violence or dating violence, law enforcement officers, individuals protected by protective orders, members of the armed forces, public figures with higher safety risks, and persons residing with any of the foregoing. Personally identifiable information is anonymized, but non-identifying information such as physical and mailing addresses, age range, party affiliation, and vote history are provided upon request. Protected information is not given out to the public.

California residents with whom Vottiv has an established relationship have the right to request certain information with respect to any Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information Vottiv may have shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Alternatively, Vottiv may provide a cost-free means to opt out of such sharing. Vottiv has opted to provide you with a cost-free means to opt out of such sharing. If you do not want Vottiv to disclose your Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information to other companies for their marketing purposes, please contact us at [email protected]

Sensitive Personal Information shall be understood to mean any information that reveals: (a) consumer's Social Security or other state identification number; (b) a consumer's account log-in, financial account, debit card, or credit card number in combination with any required security or access code, password, or credentials allowing access to an account; (c) consumer's geolocation; (d) consumer's racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership; (e) the contents of a consumer's mail, email, or text messages, unless the business is the intended recipient of the communication; and (f) consumer's genetic data.

We work with one or more third parties to: (i) administer and analyze effectiveness of advertising or promotional campaigns (these third parties may place cookies on individuals' computers to receive information about traffic to our Site, browsing and purchasing activity on our online services); and (ii) from time-to-time third parties may help us to provide a more tailored user experience. Text Messages

If you provide your mobile phone number to us, we may ask for your consent to receive text message alerts from us containing product, event, or promotional information in a text or SMS message ("Text Messages"). The Text Message program allows users to receive SMS/MMS mobile messages by users affirmatively opting into the program, such as through online enrollment forms to opt into the program. Your consent to receive Text Messages is not required to purchase goods or services from us.
