Your Voter File - Everything you know about a voter, in one record
The Data Center holds your district’s registered voters and everything your campaign has learned about them. Every field below is filterable, so any combination becomes a targeted voter group you can send to canvassing, texting, phone banking or direct mail.
- Demographics and household. Age, gender, party registration and household composition. Vottiv groups voters at the same address, so you can target a household once instead of mailing the same piece to four people at one door.
- Vote history. Whether each voter turned out in past primaries and general elections, going back several cycles. This is what makes reliability targeting possible — voters who turned out in three of the last four elections behave very differently from registrants who have never voted.
- District and precinct geography. Precinct assignment plus every district a voter sits in, from school board to congressional. You can also draw your own areas on the map and filter by them, which is how a canvass route knows which doors belong to it.
- Contact information. Mailing address and phone numbers, so the same group you built for canvassing can be texted, called or mailed without rebuilding it. Records without a valid mailing address are filtered out of a mail order before you pay for it.
- Your campaign’s own data. Import your own lists as tags — past donors, yard sign requests, event attendees — and filter on them alongside the voter file. Every canvass answer, survey response and logged conversation lands on the voter’s record too.
- Support and model scores. Modeled scores estimate how likely a voter is to support your side and how likely they are to turn out. Filter on a score threshold to separate persuasion targets from turnout targets rather than treating every voter in the district the same.

A voter file is only as good as its last refresh. Registrations change, people move, and during early voting the picture changes daily.
Your district’s file is refreshed on an ongoing basis from the RNC Data Trust, so new registrations, party changes and address updates flow in without you exporting or re-importing anything. Any voter group you have already built picks up those changes automatically the next time you use it.
In elections the RNC tracks, ballot return data updates daily through the early voting period. That is what lets a campaign stop spending contacts on voters who have already voted and concentrate the last week of field work on the people who have not — usually the highest-value targeting decision of the whole cycle.
Everything your own campaign records — a canvass answer, a survey response, a text reply — is written to the voter’s record as it happens, so the next volunteer who reaches that door or dials that number sees the last conversation.
